Farmers Protest 'Delhi Chalo': Barricade thrown at Haryana Border, Cops use force

Farmers try to push into Delhi defying the security personnel and use of tear gas and water cannons at the borders of Haryana and Punjab. Cops use tear gas and water cannons to thwart the Famers protest. At several border points, toll plazas barricade being used.

Farmers are being fired at with tear gas and sprayed with water cannons at the border of Punjab and Haryana. Under the 'Delhi Chalo' march farmers are trying to move to national-capital to take part in a protest on November 26 and 27. According to the reports, a heavy security layer has been deployed at all border points of Haryana, Delhi, and Punjab and are trying and block farmers heading to Delhi in tractors and on foot for their two-day 'Delhi Chalo' protest march against new farm bill .

  • Farmers have thrown barricades into the River in Ambala.
  • A casualty has been reported when Gurmit Lehra died near toll plaza. He was involved on a continuous road protest, say sources.

Massive security arrangements have been made at the borders with Delhi at Gurugram, Jhajjar and Faridabad. Haryana has also sealed its borders with Punjab and Delhi. Arrangement including of heavy barricades, water cannons and riot-dispersion vehicles can be seen on the roads to thwart the Farmers protest.
