Entire situation at China Border under Control, Chief said during Army Passing out Parade in Dehradun

The Chief of Indian Army General Manoj Mukund Naravane on the occasion of “Army Passing out Parade” in Dehradun said “I would like to assure everyone that entire situation along our borders with China is under control”. The Army Chief also briefed about the current situation along Nepal border also and recalled that India has a very strong relationship with Nepal geographical, cultural, historical and religious, said M M Naravane.

Indian Army Chief was present on the special occasion of Passing Out Parade in Dehradun where this time 333 new Officers are going to join the Indian Army during passing out parade being held at Indian Military Academy (IMA) Dehradun.

On India- China faceoff & disengagement

Speaking on the situation along China border Army Chief Naravane also said that we are having a series of talks with Chinese counterparts, which started with Corps Commander level talks & has been followed up with meetings at local level b/w Commanders of equivalent ranks.

As a result, a lot of disengagement has taken place and we are hopeful that through the continued dialogue we're having, all perceived differences that we (India and China) have will be set to rest. Everything is under control: Army Chief General MM Naravane

On Nepal Border incident

We have a very strong relationship with Nepal. We have geographical, cultural, historical, religious linkages. We have very strong people to people connect. Our relation with them has always been strong and will remain strong in the furture: Army chief General MM Naravane.

Army Chief on Saturday was present and reviewed the officers of the passing out parade. It was the first time that the parents and relatives of the cadets were not called during the passing out parade. The decision was taken amid Covid19 situation.

Total 333 Indian Cadets, 90 Foreign Cadets passed

On Saturday during passing out parade at IMA Dehradun in 2020’s first passing out parade total 333 Indian cadets and 90 cadets from foreign countries passed out and become officers in Army. The Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun held the Passing out Parade for the 146 Regular Course and 129 Technical Graduate Course on Saturday.
