Speaking on the Urdu language Union Minister said " Care has been taken by the Indian Constitution for allowing the flourishing of all the languages including Urdu, that since its inception, has been truly and purely, an Indian language". Urdu has been one of the 22 languages accepted by the Schedule 8 of Indian Constitution, he added. On Thursday, Education Minister was inaugerated the two-day World Urdu Webinar virtually. The webinar to be organised by the National Council For Promotion of Urdu Language.
Inaugerating the webinar Minister says, "At the behest of Education Minister of India, Urdu has prospered by leaps and bounds. We are proud that our able governance has assured that Urdu flourishes and hence the NCPUL, the largest Urdu government institution in the world, has been busy promoting the language in all its parameters". Minister also interacted with students while inaugurating the examination center in the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College campus at Aligarh Muslim University.

Later in the day, Education Minister partook in Shiksha Samwad titled 'Vision of making India a Global Knowledge Superpower'. MoE gave an overview of New Education Policy 2020 and its potential to transform the entire nation, under Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji's leadership. "NEP 2020 will facilitate India's journey towards a knowledge economy.
The New Education Policy 2020 will make education holistic & give students the flexibility to make their own choices. This approach will help the nation in meeting UN's sustainable development goals by 2030, said Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank.
