PM Narendra Modi launched e-Gram Swaraj Portal on the occasion of Panchayati Raj Day with the vision of coordinating and recording the development work of rural areas. The Portal will help in monitoring the events taking place in rural areas. The web portal aims to bring transparency in operations , progress reporting and risk-based accounting. The initiative comes under Digital India program which aims at digitalization of all functionalities of Panchayati Raj Institutions.
PM Modi on April 24, on occasion of National Panchayati Raj Diwas launched two schemes including e-GramSwaraj Portal & App. Modi government launched the portal on 24 April 2020 to mark the Panchayati Raj Day for the betterment of Vilagers. The website has reported the latest updates such as 65967 profiles created, 244,447 approved development programmes , 87434 physical progress completed and 265311 financial progress onboarding.
The PM Modi launched e-GramSwaraj Portal & app will help in executing the Gram Panchayat development plans digitally and ensure digital literacy in such areas.
There are broadly 6 types of activities that can be performed through this platform which include finance and accounting, geo tagging of assets, program reporting, gram Panchayat profiling , action plan creation and activity output. The app has been developed so that the citizens can get access to information which will ensure the transparency of events.
E- Gram Swaraj Yojana App is developed under the E- Panchayat Mission Mode Project of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. The app can be downloaded from the official portal or from the Play Store as well.

The E-Gram Swaraj mobile app can download from www.egramswaraj.gov.in. E- Gram Swaraj Gov In is the official portal of central govt for the implementation of Swamitva scheme. By visiting this portal people can check their Panchayat profile easily. The user of E Gram Swaraj portal can also access all work of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
