Delhi COVID-19 Cases Today: According to health bulletin data, Delhi had the highest single-day spike in Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, with 28,867 people testing positive for the disease. According to the news agency PTI, this was the largest increase since April 20 of last year. Today's figures represent an increase of 1,306 cases over Wednesday's total of 27,561 new Covid-19 infections in the nation's capital. The total number of people who perished in Delhi has now reached 16,46,583, according to data from the health bulletin.

However, the number of new Covid-19-related deaths fell from 40 on Wednesday to 31 on Thursday, bringing the total number of deaths to 25,271. New recoveries also continued to rise, with 22,121 people recovering from the disease compared to 14,957 the day before. With this, the overall number of patients in the national capital who have recovered has grown to 15,27,152.

The increasing number of single-day Covid-19 infections, however, raises concerns about Delhi's COVID1-9 positivity rate. According to data from the health bulletin, Coronavirus positivity increased to 29.21 percent on Thursday, up from 26.22 percent on Wednesday. With containment zones surpassing 24,000 individuals, the number of patients in the national capital's hospitals has grown to 2,369 persons (23,997 to be precise).
