COVID-19 India: Recovery Rate Remains 97 Percent, Daily Cases Go Below 40 Thousand

Nation has registered less than 40,000 COVID-19 cases for the first time in the last 3 months. The recovery rate remains close to 97% and the second wave now seems to have died down.

COVID-19 India: There is a steady decline in the daily COVID-19 count. In the last 24 hours, 39,796 fresh coronavirus cases have been reported, 723 people have succumbed to the infection. And 42,352 people have been recuperated from COVID-19.

Active cases have come down to 4,82,071. The total number of coronavirus cases across the country has reached 3,05,85,229. As of now, a cumulative number of  2,97,00,430 people have defeated the infection.

A total of 4 lakh 2 thousand 728 people have passed away due to COVID-19. So far, 41,97,77,457 people have been tested for coronavirus across the country as per the health department.
