Covid-19 in India: Biggest spike of 7,466 cases in last 24 hours, India moves to 9th position

Highest spike of 7,466 new COVID19 cases in the last 24 hours in the country; 175 deaths reported. Total number of cases in the country now at 165799 including 89987 active cases, 71105 cured/discharged/migrated and 4706 deaths: Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. India has risen to 9th position in the list of top 10 countries most affected by Corona, after an upsurge in the coronavirus. Turkey ranks 10th with 1.60 lakh cases. With highest spike of 7466 more covid-19 cases and 175 deaths reported in the past 24 hours, India's Covid-19 tally reached 1,65,799 on friday, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Covid-19 India Moves to 9th Position

The number of active coronavirus cases stands at 89,987 while 71,105 people have been cured or recovered and one patient had migrated it said. the death toll due to the infection has been reached 4,706 in the country. Maharashtra is the worst affected state with 59,546 cases. Tamil Nadu has recorded as many as 19,372 cases while Gujarat and Delhi have recorded 15562 and 16281 coronavirus cases respectively.

Biggest spike of 7,466 cases in last 24 hours

Maximum 7,466 new cases of coronavirus have been reported during the last 24 hours, while 175 people have died: Union Health Ministry. The recovery rate has increaing to 42.88% as 71,105 people, up from 67,691 patients on Thursday, have warded off the respiratory disease, data showed on Friday.

Most of India’s Covid-19 cases were reported in these four states Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Gujarat.

Maharashtra has reported highest coronavirus state in the country with 59,546 Covid-19 cases and 1,982 people have died in the western state so far. In Tamil Nadu, 19,372 people have inffected with the disease and 145 people have died, Meantime Delhi reported 16,281 cases and 316 deaths till date.

Gujarat ranks in the fourth position, the number of deaths in Gujarat is incrsing. Gujarat is the foruth worst-hit state, was higher than Tamil Nadu and Delhi at 316 but the cases stand at 7,495 so far.

These cities are Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Thane, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata/Howrah, Indore, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Changalpattu and Thiruvallur, which constitute about 70% of the positive cases in the country.
