Union Cabinet has taken the decision to suspend MPLADS fund for next 2 years and also the 30 percent of salary of all MPs to be deducted for one year. Union Cabinet on Monday took several decisions among them it is decided that all MPs, President, Vice President and Governors will not take thirty percent of their salaries for next one year and in this regard the Ordinance will be passed in next Parliamentary session.
It is announced by Union Minister Prakash Javdekar on behalf of Government of India, that in parliament session it will be put in the coming Parliamentary session that for next 2 years MPLADS will get suspended and 30 percent of salaries to get relieved.
Amid Covid19 spread in Country the decision to relieve 30 percent of Salaries and suspension for 2 years of MPLADS is taken by Government of India, Union Minister briefed. The decision is taken by all Ministerial meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Though the decision of 30 percent relieve in salaries for one year and 2 years' suspension of MPLADS is yet to get implemented, the final draft has been made by Union Minister and to be chaired in front of Parliament in next session.
Minister said that the relieved amount that is 30 percent of salaries of all MPs, President, VP & Governors through passing Ordinance will be accumulated into Centre's Saving Revenue. In India sever Ministries have already donates some part of their salaries along with other Private and Public enterprises voluntarily contribution towards PM CARE fund and state relief funds.
