Bharat Bandh on 8 December: As the fifth round of meeting between the farmers and the union government remained with no result, farmer leaders have called for the Bharat Bandh for December 8. Farmers are protesting against the September 2020 passed farm laws  including Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.

Farmers' Protest: Traffic Movement halted in Delhi

Singhu, Auchandi, Piao Maniyari, and Mangesh borders are closed along with NH 44 on both sides. Delhi Traffic Police asks said to take alternate routes via Lampur, Safiabad, Saboli, NH8/ Bhopra/ Apsara borders / Peripheral expressway.

Traffic has been diverted from Mukarba & GTK road. Advisory has been issued to avoid outer ring road , GTK road, NH 44: Delhi Traffic Police.
