The Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane assured today that the entire situation along borders with China is under control. He also spoke about India-Nepal relations, as the situation got worse when recently Nepal police shot Indian nationals at the border.
"I would like to assure everyone that entire situation along our borders with China is under control. We're having a series of talks which started with Corps Commander level talks&has been followed up with meetings at local level b/w Commanders of equivalent ranks," said Naravane.
Naravane further added that a lot of disengagement has taken place and we are hopeful that through the continued dialogue we're having, all perceived differences that we (India and China) have will be set to rest. Everything is under control.
Yesterday, tension rises on the India-Nepal border when Nepal Police shot dead an Indian & injured two others in an open fire at the border. The incidence happened just two days after Nepal's parliament passed a bill claiming several Indian Territory spots as theirs. Last week, Nepal launched the new official map, which depicts Kalapani, Limpiyadhura, and Lipulekh as part of its territory.

On Situation with Pak Border-
Most of the operations have been based on information provided by the locals themselves which goes to show that they are also absolutely fed up with militancy & terrorism and they want that the situation should return to normal. As far as J&K is concerned and our western neighbour, we have had a lot of successes. In last 10-15 days alone more than 15 terrorists have been killed. All of this has been because of very close cooperation & coordination between all security forces operating in J&K, said Indian Army Chief Naravane
