Five persons have been arrested after an encounter at Shakarpur on Monday. Following an exchange of fire in Shakarpur area of Delhi five persons including two gangesters from Punjab and three possibly ground workers of Hizbul Mujahideen from Kashmir, have been arrested. From their possession three pistols, 2 kgs of heroin and Rs 1 lakh in cash have been recovered.
"The group was backed by ISI for Narcoterrorism. However, the name of the terror organisation is yet to be confirmed, says DCP Special Cell Delhi Police. The three Kashmiris who were arrested can be called over Ground Workers of Hizbul Mujahideen. They have a set up in Pakistan & their counterparts in PoK. ISI is acting as a glue between the two movements and trying to link the two terror findings", says DCP Special Cell Pramod Kushwaha after the arrest.
According to the Delhi Police Speical Cell among the five, two gangester are reportedly having linkages to Pakistan based ISI. One Sukhmeet, who is Gulf-based, and some other gangsters, having linkages to Pakistan based ISI operatives, adds Kushwaha.
