On the first day of the Aero India 2021 air exhibition, Indian Airforce Chief Rakesh Kumar Bhadauria gave a press statement discussing the capabilities of IAF and indigenization in future IAF projects. RKS Bhadauria praised the government for promoting the 'Make in India' Initiative under which AMCA aircraft is being developed.

IAF Chief said, "To build indigenous capability, the government has introduced multiple reforms & policy changes which encourage partners to collaborate on creating next-generation technologies and platforms under make in India program"

In addition to this, he also assured IAF's resolve towards helping the friends and partners during times of calamities, pandemics, and natural disasters. Chief also lauded IAF's airlift capability to perform Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) missions whenever the need has arisen.

Earlier this day, RKS Bhadauria had also attended the inauguration ceremony of Aero India 2021, a biennial air show and aviation exhibition held in Bengaluru at the Yelahanka Air Force Station.
