On Thursday, April 29th, India registered 37,79,257 fresh COVID-19 infections and 3645 fatalities, the highest by any country since the beginning of this pandemic. The central government of India started various campaigns to fight Corona such as vaccination drive to build immunity, PM cares fund to supply essential medical equipment and food to the needy people, and many more. 

However, things have not worked out in the favor of the government and India has now officially become the worst COVID-19 hit country in the entire world. Many people have started blaming the central government for showing negligence during the Bengal elections and Maha Kumbh Mela during which large gatherings of people were organized showing complete disregard for COVID SOPS. On top of that, PM Modi-led central government has also been slammed for not addressing this problem seriously and failing to anticipate the second wave of this deadly virus.
