ICC World Cup 2019: Eng VS Afg, Injury troubled England meet winless Afghanistan aiming to take top spot in the group

In the 24th match of the ICC World Cup 2019, England will take on Afghanistan at Old Trafford for yet another fascinating encounter. The World No.1 ODI side, England has been in terrific form in this World Cup while Afghanistan remains winless in this tournament after four games.
England cricket team will look to get the combination right when they take on the low-ranked but spirited Afghanistan cricket team in their match to get one more step closer to the semi-final berth at Old Trafford in Manchester today. After suffering a shock loss to Pakistan, England cricket team have done a fantastic job in all three departments and the hosts will want to continue their winning momentum. Joe Root - Joe Root scored a fine  hundred against West Indies. It was his second century of the tournament. The batsman has hit 279 runs at an average of 93.00. Afghanistan bowling attack should be afraid of Joe Root.

Rashid Khan -  Afghanistan will be looking towards its inspirational 20-year-old spinner to deliver a match winning performance. Rashid Khan holds the record of fastest 100 wickets in ODIs. With Afghanistan's batting collapsing, Rashid could be expected to contribute with the bat too. He is more than a handy batsman lower down the order.
