Uncharted Day 2 Box Office Collection: Tom Holland Starrer Going Strong

On its long and winding route to the big screen, "Uncharted" has gone through several filmmakers, including David O. Russell, Shawn Levy, and Neil Burger. Ruben Fleischer, who previously oversaw "Venom," eventually took the keys and directs an ensemble that includes Mark Wahlberg (who was originally supposed to play Drake in earlier incarnations, but is now aging into another part), Sophia Ali, and Antonio Banderas.

During the four-day Presidents Weekend vacation, "Uncharted" is predicted to gross more than USD 30 million. In pandemic times, that's a good achievement, but the film still costs USD 120 million to make, so breaking into profitable territory will be difficult.

International markets will be critical in bringing "Uncharted" into the black. To that aim, "Uncharted" premiered at the international box office to a strong USD 21.5 million from 15 overseas markets prior to its domestic launch. In addition to the United States and Canada, the picture will be released this week in Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, and South Korea.
