Haryana Government has decided to launch "Kisan Mitra Yojana" for farmers owning two acres of land or less in the state. Under the scheme Haryana Government, is set to provide benefit to the small farmers having two or less acres of land. According to reports, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar during the meeting with officials has announced to launch Kisan Mitra Yojana (KMY) to provide benefit to farmers having two acres land or less. Taking initiative in this direction, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar instructed the Govt officials & stakeholders to prepare the roadmap soon for the Kisan Mitra Yojana (KMY).
On Monday holding a meeting with officials, the state Chief Minister asked officials to roll out detailed plan on the Yojana for small land owning farmers to help boost their capabilities. According to sources Haryana Government is set to launch the Kisan Mitra Yojana soon as project on Department’s website is set to complete.
During his meeting with officials, Haryana CM ML Khattar also stressed over the Livestock Credit Card Scheme on the verge of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to make Haryana the leading state in the country in per capita in milk productivity. The Chief Minister gave these instructions in the review meeting of officials of Haryana State Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department on Saturday late evening. Animal Husbandry and Dairy Minister J.P Dalal, former Chairman of Livestock Development Board and MLA Sombir Sangwan were also present during the meeting. After launching the “Mera Pani- Merit Virasat” Scheme recently for the farmers last month, Haryana Government has brought another beneficiary scheme for the farmers of the state. According to the newly announced Kisan Mitra Yojana (KMY), Haryana Government is likely to give benefits to the farmers having less than 2 hectare land and facing difficulties.
Raja Shekhar Vundru, Principal Secretary of the Department said that the FMD, HS joint vaccine program was successful in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Livestock Development Program to free the animals from Gulgontu disease specially Cow and Buffalo of several states including Haryana.
Haryana Livestock Credit Card Scheme
Under the Livestock Credit Card Scheme (LCCS), the livestock will be assisted in the form of loan for the maintenance of animals and it will be a maximum of RS 3 lakh.

This support amount of Rs 3 Lakh will be given to People of Haryana who cradling Buffalo, Cow, Sheep, Goat, Pig, Chicken and Broiler etc. The Chief Minister on Monday during meeting stressed that every animal should be tagged, whether it is from a cowshed or a cattle herd in Haryana State. Officials said that the work on the website to provide tagging information online is almost complete.
The Chief Minister said that to increase the income of small farmers from animal husbandry and other allied sectors, we have to make roadmap for these schemes.
