Haryana Government has passed a bill to provide 75 percent reservation in the private sector to locals. The governor of the Haryana state has to give assent to the Haryana cabinet passed bill, before it becomes a law.

Haryana Cabinet passes a bill proposing 75% reservation for local youth in Private jobs. State Chief Minister ML Khattar led cabinet meeting on Thursday passed the bill for reservation of 75 per cent locals in state industries. For boosting employment opportunities for the local youth in the private sector, the election promised has been fulfilled, says Haryana Deputy Chief Minister and State Education Minister Dushyant Chautala.

Mr. Chautala earlier presented the draft before the state cabinet proposing 75% reservation in private jobs for youth from the state & after the decision, the cabinet on Thursday gave a nod to the draft. Govt also decided to cut stamp duty charges to 100/- from earlier Rs 2000/-, the decision to draft new Advertising policy and new new rules for Group C & D jobs were among highlights from Cabinet meeting.

The Cabinet meeting was held on Thursday in Chandigarh. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala were present in the meeting. Here are the key takeaways from Haryana Cabinet Meeting chaired by CM Manohar Lal Khattar in Chandigarh today-

  1. Banks will have to waive the stamp fee on farmers' transactions. Now onwards only 100/- rupees will be charged instead of earlier 2,000/-.
  2. Cabinet has stamped on the reduction of Chalan fee imposed during the Crona period.
  3. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Awas Yojana has been implemented in Gurugram, said CM
  4. Kalka-Pinjore has been excluded from the Panchkula Municipal Corporation, now a separate election of Kalka Municipal Council will be held.
  5. A policy of land allotment has been made in the municipal bodies, new rules have been set for religious institutions.
  6. Baba Banda Bahadur Lohagad Foundation Trust has been formed, CM will be the Chairman of Trust.
  7. Haryana Advertising Policy has been formulated for Social Media and Web Media.
  8. In Covid19 Real Estate Industry has been affected, to help the industry their due payment submission date has been extended till 30 September.
  9. Twelve people who were deprived of jobs in 'Jhandli Power Plant' will be provided employment.
  10. Housing policy has brought the eco-friendly system in the state, Now can build a farmhouse on an individual plot.
  11. CM said that he would be able to build a farmhouse on half an acre to two and a half acres of land.

Among the other announcements, Govt is working on bringing new rules for Group C and D Jobs in Haryana state and draft has been sent to Cabinet. Work play and Leave policy has been designed for Cyber Working. A policy has been formed for a cadre of nearly 3 lakh workers. They will be trained under HIPA, said CM. Factory Act will not be applicable for new Industries for a thousand days, and approval has been given for creating a friendly atmosphere among state Industries.
