UPSC CSE 2019 Result: Son of a former Sarpanch Pradeep Singh tops in Civil Service exam

As Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the Civil Services Examination 2019 final results on Tuesday, Pradeep from Sonipat district, Haryana tops in the rank list. Pradeep Singh, son of a former village Sarpanch in Sonipat district tops the list of a total 829 candidates. Pradeep Singh the topper of UPSC Civil Service 2019 exam desirous to work for the welfare of farming community, he said after got the news of Civil Service results. Pradeep was followed by Jatin Kishore and Pratibha Verma on 2nd & 3rd spots respectively. Pradeep Singh, hailing from Sonipat district of Haryana topped the Civil Service 2019 examination. Pradeep Singh's father Sukhbir Singh is the former sarpanch of a village “Tewri” in Sonipat District’s Gannaur block, Haryana.

As per UPSC CSE 2019 results, a total of 829 participants have been recommended for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and State Services (Group A & B). Among the 829 selected candidates, Pradeep Singh tops in the list and he lonely presents Haryana in top 5. Pradeep Singh had appeared four times in in UPSC examination and last year he secured 260th rank in the Civil Services Examination, a report published in HT says.

The topper Pradeep Singh hails from Sonipat district of Haryana. He topped the Civil Services Examination 2019 in results declared on August 4, 2020. Pradeep said that his father, who is a farmer, inspired him to become an IAS officer and he wants to work for the welfare of the farming community.

“My focus was to cover targeted syllabus every day. UPSC demands consistency and sometime I felt that I was not consistent but my father encouraged me, said Pradeep Singh after UPSC results. My father is a farmer and mother is housewife”, he added. Pradeep Singh has joined Indian Revenue Services (IRS) through last year's UPSC examination. On Tuesday, August 4 UPSC declared the Civil Services Exam 2019 final results. In CSE 2019 results a total of 829 candidates have been selected. There are 304 candidates from General category, 78 EWS, 251 from OBC, 129 from SC and 67 candidates from ST categories are recommended for appointment. The result can be checked from official website of upsc.gov.in.
