Patna, Bihar: On Friday hundreds of Bihar STET applicants lodged protest over cancellation of State Teacher Eligibility Test. Demanding early result of Bihar STET 2020 candidates lodged protest in front of Bihar Board’s office. Millions of students are mentally disturbed by the cancellation of the exam, “we demand lifting cancellation from Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test & early declaration of Result, said a protester.
On Friday, candidates of STET, under the banner of B.Ed Passed Student Conflict Committee and Jan Adhikar Abhayarthi Parishad (JAAP), protested over cancellation of Bihar STET 2020 examination. Students demanded to declare STET result early. The outraged candidates performed in front of the Bihar Board's office, causing a traffic jam for some time in front of Board Office in Patna.
Later the Kotwali police intervened and resulted to cool down the protesters. The outraged candidate was demanding the resignation of Bihar Board President Anand Kishore. State President of B.Ed Passed Student Conflict Committee, Deepankar Gaurav and State President of JAAP, Vishal Kumar told that Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test which was held on January 28 in two shifts, recently cancelled. The protest was lodged to lift the cancellation over Bihar STET & to declare STET result soon.

Protesters demanded the Bihar STET Result soon as result has taken more than 4 months. Recently last month in second week Bihar Board decided to cancel the January held Bihar STET 2020 examination. Earlier in December 2019 applications were called by Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) for STET 2019-20 examination for various subjects.
Bihar STET Cancellation case in Patna High Court
The Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test has been cancelled. In May 2nd week, BSEB cancelled the January 2020 held State Teacher Eligibility Test & decided to re-conduct the Exam. It is to be noted that candidates have also filed CWJC number 6139/2020 in Patna High Court for the release of STET results. The hearing on which is on 6 June. State President Dipankar Gaurav asked the Education Department to intervene and release the result of STET.
