UPSC NDA (1) 2021 Exam Tomorrow, Guidelines To The Students Released

Amid the demands of students to postpone NDA Exam, UPSC has decided to conduct NDA (1) 2021 Examination on April 18, Sunday. Guidelines to the students have been released in this regard.

UPSC NDA Exam 2021: Union Public Service Commission, UPSC has decided to conduct National Defence Academy Examination 2021 on the schedule date that is 18th April. The examination will be conducted keeping the students' safety in mind and guidelines for the same have been issued.

UPSC is conducting the NDA (1), 2021 Examination amid students demand to postpone the examination and at a time when more than 15 states/UTs have postponed the board exams due to a surge in COVID-19 cases all across the country.

A section of students is demanding UPSC to postpone the NDA Examination that is scheduled on 18th April, 2021 (Sunday). Students taking to the social media launched a protest demanding concerned authority to reverse its decision.

Amid this Union Public Service Commission on Friday released the guidelines in view of the ongoing situation due to Covid-19 pandemic. The guidelines have also been issued to the candidates through the UPSC NDA Admit Cards 2021 and also available at

Here are the guidelines every students appearing for the NDA 2021 examination should follow:

1) Admit Card: Each candidate appearing for the NDA examination should bring his/her own admit card. In case, the photograph is not visible/blurred or not available on the e-Admit Card, candidates are advised to carry two (2) identical photographs (one photograph for each session).

2. Candidates will have to reach the exam centre an hour before the commencement of the exam. The entry into the examination venue will be closed 10 minutes before the commencement of the examination.

3. For the health safety of the candidates and staff, all the necessary guidelines issued by the Government of India regarding COVID19 will have to be followed by the students.

4. From Wearing face masks, carrying sanitizers to maintaining social distancing several instructions are to be followed by all students, invigilators, and other staff.

The NDA 1, 2021 examination will be conducted by the Commission for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 147th course and for the 109th Indian Naval Academy commencing from January 2, 2022.

UPSC NDA Examination consists of two papers, Paper 1 (General Mathematics) and Paper 2 (General Studies). Candidates have to answer the examination on OMR sheet. All questions will be of objective type and will consist of equal marks. The duration of Paper 1 and 2 will be 2 hours and 3 hours respectively.
