After postpone of UPSC Civil Services Exam 2020 (Prelims), Union Public Service Commission has defined new exam date today. UPSC Civil Service exam to be conducted on 4 October 2020, as scheduled by Commission after reviewing situation on June 5. Candidates can view Civil Service Examination 2020 Prelim new date i.e 4 October 2020 along with detailed schedule of Active Examinations including Civil Services-2020 (Prelim), Engineering Services (Main) and the Geologist Services (Main) Examination. On Friday june 5, Union Public Servic Commission is expected to release new schedule for Active exams including CSE 2020 Prelims.
UPSC Commission has released notice on active examinations specifying Civil Service Prelim on 4 October 2020. Along with Civil Service Prelim, UPSC has rescheduled the exam dats for UPSC IES/ ISS 2020, UPSC CMS, CAPF AC, NDA & NA etc.

In recent notice, UPSC Commission reviewing the situation due to Covid19 conveyed the new date as 5 June, for announcement on fresh schedule of examinations.
Civil Services Examintion 2020 Prelim was postponed from date (May 31, 2020), till further notice.
Against 796 posts Union Public Service Commission called the applications from CSE aspirants in February-March 2020. Scheduled on 31st May 2020, Civil Service Examination 2020 Prelim date was postponed till further notice, by UPSC. Commission decided to release the revise date after reviewing situation on 20th May and then differed to 5th June.
More than 10 lakh applicants have enrolled for the UPSC CSE 2020 Examination. The number of vacancies was decreased this year under Civil Service Examination.
On Dated February 12, 2020 the Civil Services Examination notification was published. The last date for submission of application was defined as March 3, whereas fee could be submitted before 7th of March.

Chairman & members forego 30% basic pay
According to notice dated 15 April, Union Public Service Commission stated that the Commission reviewed the harm caused to the national economy by the corona virus pandemic. “Recognizing the need to conserve financial resources at the national level, the Chairman and Members of the Union Public Service Commission have decided to voluntarily forego 30% of the basic pay received by them from the Commission for a period of one year, with effect from April, 2020”, conveyed through notice.
