RRC Group D Exam 2021: Indian Railways will be conducting the Computer Based Test-1 for CEN - 01/2019 for filling up over one lakh Railway Group D posts. The examination is expected to be conducted in multiple phases as the number of applications is large. Railway Group D CBT 1 recruitment test will be conducted as per the guidelines rolled out for the Railways ongoing examination, Non-Technical Popular Category posts examination. The examination will only be held once the COVID-19 situation turns more conducive, an official notice says.
"RRBs have notified three Centralized Employment Notifications (CENs), No. 01/2019, No. 03/2019 and No. RRC 01/2019, for various categories. The recruitment process has commenced from December, 2020 after easing of restrictions imposed on account of COVID 19 and is being held in phases. Further scheduling of CBT has been held up because of various restrictions imposed by the affected states due to the spread of Covid-19 pandemic once again," a recent notice from RRB Chennai reads.
Indian Railways for filling 1,03,769 vacancies advertised under RRC CEN 01/2019 is yet to notify the final schedule of stage 1 examination. It has been told by the Indian Railway officials that the Group D recruitment process will begin soon after the NTPC Graduate Undergraduate posts exam concludes. RRBs scheduled the NTPC, Group D & MI CBT 1 exam starting from 28 December. The nodal board decided to in phase 1, extended to multiple phases till May 2021.
Ahead of the second wave of the COVID-19, RRB Chennai had conducted the six-phase exam for RRB NTPC. Later, the schedule was hit by the COVID pandemic, which resulted in the postponement of exams and related activities.
It is predicted that Railways shall likely start exam activities for RRC Group D posts tentatively in August-September. However, the date, time and venue for all the activities, namely, CBT, PET, DV and Medical Examination or any other additional activity as applicable shall be fixed by the RRBs/RRCs and shall be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course.
Railways to notify a detailed notice regarding Exam Date/ Exam City, Free Travel Authority intimation. Candidates will have to download the exam city, exam date Intimations, e- Call Letters, and Travel Authority (wherever applicable) from the links provided on the official websites of RRBs/RRCs. A phase-wise exam schedule is expected to be released from time to time at the official websites of the Railway Recruitment Boards.
