As the process of the NTPC CBT 1 exam is about to conclude, the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) are expected to soon release the schedule of the RRC Group D CBT 1 exam 2021. Based on the reports, the 1st stage computer-based test for over 1 lakh vacancies shall likely start in September-October this year. However, the official notice regarding the same is still awaited.
Earlier, Indian Railways said through the media reports, that it would conduct the Group D Selection Posts exam once the NTPC examination is over. Releasing an official notice in September 2020, the recruitment boards issued the schedule of pending Railway recruitment exams including RRB NTPC, RRC Group D, and Ministerial and Isolated Category posts. Among all this, the schedule of only the RRC Group D exam is pending as the process of notification has crossed over two years.
The candidates who have applied for the RRC Group D exam can are advised to keep a check at the rrbchennai.gov.in, rrbajmer.gov.in, rrbbhopal.gov.in, rrbcdg.gov.in, etc official websites of the recruitment boards for the latest RRC Group D exam updates. In addition to this, an official intimation is also expected to be displayed at official social-media handles of Indian Railways, Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw, and leading partner media portals.
RRB NTPC exam was conducted between December 28, 2020, and July 31, 2021, in a total of seven phases. RRC Group D examination on the other hand is also expected to be held in multiple phases. The schedule of the Railway Group D CBT 1 first phase examination is awaited by more than 1 crore applicants.
In December 2020, it was estimated that the RRC Group D computer-based exam will start in June 2021. However, due to the spike in COVID-19 cases, the ongoing RRB NTPC exams came to a halt and the schedule was revised. Indian Railways failed to conduct any examination between April and June 2021.
Based on the sources, the Indian Railway has completed all preparations for the Group D examination. And all things go well, then the Group D exam can be conducted at the same exam centers where the NTPC CBT-1 exam is held. After drafting a final schedule for the first stage exam, the board will roll out the detailed instructions for the aspirants.
Accordingly, the exam dates, city intimation, free travel authority pass, and admit cards will be issued. The admit card of the exam shall likely be issued 4 days before the exam as similar to the NTPC.
In Group D CBT 1 exam, as many as 100 multiple choice type questions will be asked with a negative marking of 1/4. Questions will be based on General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness & Current Affairs. All questions have to be answered on computer screens by the candidates. The candidates who qualify in CBT 1 will be able to appear in the next phase recruitment examination. Any update will be released on the official website of the board, rrbajmer.gov.in.
The selected candidates will be able to draw a salary of up to 60,600 and several allowances including Dearness Allowance (DA), Daily Allowance, Mileage Allowance beyond 8 km, Transport Allowance (TA). House Rent Allowance (HRA), Compensation in case of Holidays, among others.
