Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have activated the link to get the refund of the RRB NTPC Examination Fee on the official websites. All candidates who had appeared in RRB NTP (CEN 01/2019) CBT-1 now can provide their bank account details for getting the refund of examination fees. The link for updating bank account details is provided has gone live on August 11, 2021, at 10:00 am. Further, it has been stated that the link will remain active till August 31, 2021, up to 11:59 pm.
An email and SMS have also been sent to the candidates who had attended the CBT-1 through their registered email id and mobile number. With this, they have to provide their correct bank account details. The candidates have to ensure that their Bank Account Number, Name, and IFSC Code entered are correct and re-check it carefully before final submission. No refund will be given to the candidates who fail to submit their bank account details. Further, it has been stated that only one refund per bank account will be allowed for the RRB NTPC fee refund.
A help menu has also been provided to candidates to get any clarification or help in case of any trouble while submitting the bank details, says an official notice.
Only those candidates who had appeared in the 1st stage computer-based test (CBT 1) held from December 28, 2020, to July 31, 2021, held in seven phases, are eligible to get the refund of their examination fee.
The examination fee is Rs 250 for SC/ ST/ ESM/ PwBD/ Female/ Minority/ EBC/ Transgender candidates and Rs. 400 for the General and unreserved category candidates. This amount will be refunded after the deduction of banking/ service charges as applicable.
Railway Recruitment Boards had successfully conducted the RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam on July 31, 2021. The examination was held in seven phases at more than 600 exam centres across the country.
The recruitment drive is to fill 35,208 vacancies under the Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) direct recruitment examination 2019. The applications were received almost two years back.
According to an official notice from Indian Railways, while scrutinizing the applications it was observed that a large number of payments were made from the same account number and the Bank account details of many candidates were not available. Further, the IFSC codes of some banks might have been changed due to banks mergers. Hence, the facility to confirm and modify the bank details of candidates to remit the refund of the examination fee is facilitated.
