Railway Recruitment Boards, RRBs are beginning the NTPC Stage-1 Computer-based examination from 28 December. Ahead of the examination RRB Chennai releases NTPC exam day guidelines adhering to COVID-19 protocol. The objective of the RRB NTPC computer-based exam is to ensure the Safe and secure environment for all exam functionaries and candidates involved in the examination process using touch-free processes wherever needed.
With the novel Coronavirus pandemic spreading globally, every exam process needs to be redefined to ensure exams can take place with appropriate precautions, official notice reads.
This is to assure the safety of both the candidates and the exam conducting staff. The new processes defline the new normal to execute assessments in the future.
Adherence to the guidelines and procedures provided by the Govt of India, Integration of safety measures with existing examination processes and better understanding of the new guidelines that candidates need to follow before, during and after the examination, are laid down.

During the Exam Venue-
Once a candidate enter the exam venue, the exam staff by keeping a safe distance will check your e-call letter, original ID proof along with Covid-19 self declaration form. As a candidate enter your exam lab, your e-Call letter and valid original ID proof, is verified by an exam staff from a safe distance. During the biometric capture process candidates will be directed to sanitize their hands, using a sanitizer and will be requested to place their left thumb on the biometric device for the LTI (Left thumb capture).
Once a candidate completes his/ her registeration, the exam staff memeber to guide the candidate to the allotted computer system number following social distancing norms. Candidates will be provided with rough sheets and a ball point pen which are placed on the desk before commencement of the examination. Candidates will sit at a safe distance i.e with alternate sitting arrangements during the examination, guidelines read.
A staff member taking sanitizer and ink pad to each candidate will ask candidates for thumb impression on the e-Call letter kept on the candidate's desk. All seats will be santized before the beginning of examination. Candidates will remain under CCTV serveillance in the exam lab.
On completion of a shift, candidates should strictly move out in an orderly manner. They will be allowed to leave the exam lab only after the exam staff member confirms that he/she can leave.
Note- Usage of Calculators, bluetooth devices, Cell phones, Pager, Watches, Metallic items including Ornaments, Bangles, Belts, Braceletes etc are strictly prohibited inside the exam lab. Candidate to be disqualified if found resorting to any unfair means including giving or receiving help from anyone during the exam.
