RRB NTPC Exam Date 2020 Latest Update: 7 Key Points you must know about CBT-1 Exam

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), Chennai is preparing a new schedule for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) Online exam. Based on a report RRB Chennai has resumed its services to conduct Online Computer Based test for about 1.26 crore applicants. Board is in final process to mark the examination centres for CBT test & may release CEN 1/2019 NTPC CBT 1 exam dates and new schedule by September 2020. In view of Railway’s NTPC exam an applicant must be aware about seven key points including of CBT 1 pattern, expected exam dates, application status & requirements to download admit card etc.

Recently Director General of Indian Railways Board has emphasized RRB Boards to review the non-safety vacancies released in Year 2019-20. Reviewing the situation, Indian Railways to soon notify through official website of RRBs on stage 1 exam dates. Here are seven key points an applicant must know about RRB NTPC CBT-1 Computer Based Examination.

1) Check RRB NTPC Application status:

A candidate who applied for RRB NTPC (CEN 1/2019) 35,208 posts in March 2019 should check their application status from website. If status of a candidate reports “Application failed”, candidate can apply for Re-consideration of application.

2) Verify your Registered Mobile/ Email:

Candidates who have applied for RRB NTPC can verify their Registered mobile no/ email address. All information on Computer Based Examination (Stage 1) will be intimated through registered contact no / email address.

3) Keep your Application, credentials safe:

To download the 1st stage admit cards, candidates will require login credentials. To download the e-call letter candidates should keep their application form/ registration credentials (Application ID and Password) safe. In case a candidate forgets password, option to retrieve the password will be facilitated to applicants. In that case registered email/ contact details will be required.

4) RRB NTPC Exam dates & Admit Card notice: Indian Railways is in full swing to re-start ongoing recruitments including of RRB CEN 1/2019 Non-Technical Popular Categories post. Exam schedule is expected to be released shortly at, and other RRBs’ website.

Note- A candidate must view his/ her application status. Admit cards will be available of only those candidates whose applications accepted by RRB Board.

5) RRB NTPC Exam City & Dates: 

Center / City allocation for NTPC CBTs will depend upon technical and logistical feasibility. RRB Chennai is working on expanding the number of examination centres in view of current situation. Board preferring the social distancing norms will conduct Online Computer Based Test for 1.26 crore applicants. Candidates may have to travel to other Cities/ States for attending CBTs. Request for Change of Exam Centre shall NOT be allowed under any circumstances.

6) CEN 1/2019 NTPC Admit Card:

Railway Recruitment Board Chennai would notify through official website the schedule of stage 1 Computer Based Test. Initially RRB to communicate on stage 1 examination city / centre. The release date of exam admit card will be notified through notice at Intimation will be published at all Railway Recruitment Board websites, leading newspapers and registered email id, Registered contacts.

7) Stage 1 Exam Pattern & Syllabus:

RRB Chennai will hold stage 1 Computer-based test for RRB NTPC (Graduate and Under Graduate posts) by end of the year. Candidates should go through the detailed exam pattern and syllabus before appearing in examination.

Pattern of NTPC CBT 1- In stage 1 examination questions will be asked from General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning. There will be 100 multiple choice-based questions. Examination timing will be 90 minutes. The examination duration will be 120 Minutes for eligible PwBD candidates accompanied with Scribe.
