RRB NTPC Exam 2021 Update: 7th Phase Exam at 260 Centres under Strict COVID Protocol- Notice

RRB NTPC 7th phase exam date, city and link for free travel authority will be activated on July 23, 2021. E-Call letters of the candidates will be available 4 days before the exam date.

Indian Railways has scheduled to conduct the 7th or the last phase of recruitment exams for various Non-Technical Popular Categories posts (NTPC) CEN- 01/2019 from July 23, 2021. The exam will be held on 23rd, 24th, 26th & 31st July 2021 for approx 2.78 lakh candidates. Following this, an official notice has been released on all RRB websites.

According to the notice, the NTPC CBT 1 for the last phase will be held in 76 cities in about 260 centers across the country under strict COVID-19 protocol using SD-50 module permitting utilization of 50% capacity available at centers to ensure adequate social distancing.

"Most of the candidates are allotted centers in their home state. Where it is not possible to allot within the state, the candidates have been accommodated in the neighboring state having Rail connectivity," the notice reads. 

For the candidates scheduled in the NTPC 7th phase, the link for viewing the exam city & date and downloading of free travelling authority for SC/ST candidates will be made available on all RRB websites ten days before the exam. Whereas, the e-call letters will be available to download, 4 days prior to the exam date mentioned in exam city and date intimation link. The necessary intimation is also being sent to all those candidates scheduled in the 7th phase to their E-mail and Mobile numbers given in their online Application.

Candidates are advised to refer to the official websites of RRBs for the latest updates on the recruitment process. A help desk has already been provided on all RRB official websites.

"Candidates are advised to strictly follow COVID-related guidelines issued along with the e-call letter. The use of a face mask is mandatory. Candidates will be allowed entry only if wearing a Face Mask and the Face mask shall be worn at all times. (except at the time of capturing photograph).  Candidates are also advised to carefully read and comply with the instructions uploaded along with the e-call letter," the official notice from PIB reads.

What not to carry at Exam Centre?

The candidates are advised to not carry the banned items including- electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, pager, watches, Bluetooth-enabled devices, calculators, metallic wear, bangles, belts, bracelets, etc. are not allowed inside the test center. 

Strict COVID Protocols to be Followed:

RRBs have made extensive preparations for conducting examinations of this large scale in COVID-19 pandemic times following SOPs as laid down by the Government ensuring social distancing, compulsory use of masks, sanitizers, curtailing shifts for conducting Exams. RRBs are co-coordinating with respective state authorities to ensure the smooth conduct of CBT.

With strict COVID-19 related protocols and precautions, six phases of 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) for around 1.23 crore candidates, against CEN 01/2019 (NTPC) having 35,281 vacancies, have been conducted from Dec 28, 2020, till April 08, 2021.

Earlier, releasing an official notice RRB Bhopal on July 04, stated that the last phase of the computer-based test for the remaining 2.78 lakh candidates, which got impacted on account of the second wave of COVID-19 affecting the whole country, will be conducted on 23rd, 24th, 26th, and 31st July 2021.
