RRB NTPC CBT 1 by the end of Year, Board taking suggestions on safety at exam Centres

Indian Railways, RRB Board Chennai is taking suggestions from other zonal boards and Online Exam Conducting Agencies for the safe conduct of Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) exam. RRB Chennai for the recruitment of 35,208 posts under RRB CEN 1/2019 NTPC (Graduate & Non-Graduate) has planned to conduct Online Computer Based Test (CBT 1) for about 1.28 crore candidates applied for CEN 1/2019 NTPC recruitment by the end of year. Board is brainstorming at what measures are being taken and needed to conduct Online exam with safety of students. Board is taking suggestions form other Online exam conducting agencies over the possible measures being taken during the Online Examination amid Corona virus period.  

According to a report published in a hindi daily if everything goes well, NTPC Online CBT 1 exam will be completed by the end of the year. Alongside of holding online exam with social-distancing RRB Chennai is taking suggestions from other recruitment Institutions for the safety of candidates in the proposed NTPC Computer Based online exam for about 1.26 crore applicants. Prioritizing the safety of students from the infection of Corona Virus, Board is in constant touch with the officials of Ministry of Indian Railways.

It is also being highlighted that RRB Board would conduct NTPC exam by the end of year, however the final decision on possible exam dates is yet to be taken. To ensure Covid19 safety to examinees, Railway Recruitment Board and Exam Conducting Agency are brainstorming over possible options. Suggestions from several other institutions are being taken.

Based on a report, Indian Railways NTPC Online exam Board may allow candidates to wear face masks & bring hand sanitizers during Computer Based Test. The detailed instructions in this regard are expected to be released by RRB Board with the Examination notice.

To ensuring safety at exam centre the number of Online Exam Centres is also expected to be increased. In view of maintaining social-distancing and a gap between two students Railway Board may allow candidates to sit at a prescribed distance in examination hall, the instruction in this regard are expected to be released by RRB Chennai Board.

The board is also looking at what measures are being taken by other Online Exam Conducting Agencies during the Corona virus period. RRB Chairman has said that the practice of deploying the Examination Conducting Agency has started and a pre bid meeting has been organized by the RRB. According to the chairman, for NTPC exam about 1.26 crore applications have been received from all across the country. Under CEN 1/2019 Non-Technical Popular Categories 35,208 posts under two categories will be filled.
