Rajasthan School Education Minister Govind Singh Dotsara has given the reason behind the delay in the release of Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) 2021. According to him the REET notification which was delayed due to the inclusion of B.Ed. degree holders as eligible, in REET Level-1 examination, has been finally released. According to the notice, Online application for REET 2021 to begin from January 11, 2021. The last date for Online registration/ application will be February 8, 2021.
After the clarification over the delay, it is expected that Rajasthan School Education Board on Tuesday released the REET 2021 notification, at www.rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in, as the examination is proposed on 25 April 2021.
According to the media reports, State School Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara has spoken on the delay in the publication of notification by the Rajasthan School Education Board. In reply Dotasara said, "The inclusion of B.Ed. degree in REET Level-1 is being considered, again. For this, the guidelines of NCTE are being reviewed."
Earlier, Education Minister announcing the REET 2021 exam date said that the Examination will be held on 25 April 2021 for the 31,000 Grade 3 Teachers' posts. Lakhs of candidate who were waiting for the Teacher Eligibility Exam of Rajasthan, for 2 years got relief.

Even after the announcement of REET exam dates in April 2021, the examination notification is still being awaited by the students. The REET notification is yet to be published on the website, even it was to be released in the November 2020.

The Rajasthan TET or REET, which was being held once every year, was last held in 2018. About 9.50 lakh candidates had appeared for the examination. Taking cognizance of the matter Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot spoke-out on the REET exam while speaking on the achievements of his government. "The REET 2020 exam will be held on 25 April 2021 and this will give relief to the millions of youth of the state", Chief Minister said.
