Railway NTPC Exam Preparations to Restart- Tier 1 dates may delay further

Indian Railways, RRB Boards to restart NTPC Tier exam preparation, after lockdown ends. As per sources Railway Recruitment Board, Chennai in February had issued Exam Conducted Agency (ECA) selection notice and invited tender. Due to nationwide lockdown, it seems the procedure has been halted by Indian Railways due to Covid19 outbreak and Government of India orders to put hold on all academic and other activities through revised guidelines. Based on recent press release, Indian Railways is expected to restart NTPC & other examinations preparation after lifting of lockdown.

Railway RRB CEN 1/2019 NTPC Tier 1 exam has been postponed for last one year. In February RRB Chennai was assigned hunt for ECA on 25000 Non-Technical Popular Category vacancies.

On Monday it is reported that RRB NTPC Online tier 1 exam dates may further delay as selection of ECA halted due to lockdown. Railway RRB examination preparations at Board level may further delay due to lockdown, according to sources. As per press release RRB Board will resume hunt for Exam Conducting Agency for CEN 1/2019 NTPC recruitment exams as lockdown lifts.

NTPC Exam preparation will restart again after lockdown pull-out. The recruitment on NTPC CEN 1/2019 vacancies and responsibility to conduct of RRB Railway online exams is handed over to RRB Chennai.

Last year in March RRBs invited applications on CEN 01/2019 NTPC vacancies. In February 2020 tender notice was issued for the hunt of Exam Conducting Agency and was to finish till April 2020. But due to extension in 21 days lockdown ending on May 3, the ECA hunt likely to be restarted by Railway RRB Chennai Board. In March 2019 more than 25 lakhs applicants applied for the Non-Technical Popular Category based 12th & Graduate level vacancies.

As per Railway RRB Board fixture for NTPC Tier 1 exam the Computer Based Test will be of two hours 120 minutes for PwBD candidates accompanied by a scribe, and of 90 minutes for other categories. There will be negative marking and 1/3 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer. RRB NTPc Stage 1 CBT will be organized as screening test in nature.
