Indian Railways is planning to conduct Recruitment exams for NTPC, Group D and Ministerial & Isolated categories posts in academic year 2020-21. Through Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) & Railway Recruitment Cells (RRCs) Computer Based examinations of stage 1 will be conducted as ECA selection process for exams concludes. Railway Board Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, V K Yadav has said that Online Computer Based Test (CBT) to be conducted from 15 Dec, 2020. Board has clarified that pending recruitment exams will be conducted from mid-December 2020, however, zonal RRBs have been asked to review the non-safety posts. As per sources in year 2020-21 Railways would like to conduct RRB NTPC CEN 1/2019, RRB Ministerial & Isolated categories (CEN 3/2019) and RRC CEN 1/2019 Group D examinations from 15/12/20202, as more than 3 Crore candidates are lined-up for the exams. 

Railways releasing the recruitment advertisement announced the CBT 1 (First stage) Computer Based test dates, but postponed the dates to year 2020. For RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam RRB Chennai and for Ministerial & Isolated categories post RRB Ajmer are in advanced stage to hold CBT 1 exams in year 2020. The process of selection of Exam Conducting Agency is in mid and likely both the examination would be conducted in Year 2020. 

Railways will conduct exams for various posts like Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC), RRC Group D Level-1 and Ministerial & Isolated Categories (MI) posts, starting from 15 December, an official statement says. RRB NTPC Exam 2020 (CEN 1/2019):

Railway Recruitment Board Chennai has concluded ECA selection process and is all set to conduct Computer Based Test Stage 1 for 1.26 Crore applicants from 15 December 2020 onwards. On a total 35,277 Non-Technical Popular Categories posts, RRB Chennai earlier invited applications in in Feb-March of year 2019.

As per official and latest notce, RRB Chennai is engaging with Exam Conducting Agency (ECA) for conducting multiple stages of Computer Based Test, Computer Based Aptitude/ Typing Skill Test, Document Verification and all other related services in connection with CEN No 01/2019 for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) all over India.

RRC Group D CBT 1 Exam (RRC 1/2019):

Indian Railways will hold first stage Computer Based examination (CBT) for 1.15 Crore applicants from 15 December 2020 onwards. The Railway Recruitment Cells (RRCs) are yet to float tender bid for the selection of Exam Conducting Agency. Railway Group D (RRC CEN 1/2019) CBT 1 is postponed for more than last one year.

RRB Ministerial & Isolated Categories CEN 3/2019:

RRB invited applications for the posts of Ministerial and Isolated Categories (MI), including Stenographer, Chief Law Assistant, Junior Translator (Hindi), PGT/TGT/PRT, etc in various Zonal Railways and Production Units of Indian Railways. RRB is yet to conduct CBT 1 Exam which has been postponed to unspecified dates. On 1665 Ministerial & Isolated categories posts a total 1,02,940 applications have been received.

Engaging Exam Conducting Agency (ECA) to conduct Computer Based Tests (CBTs) and all related activities like processing of Results and Panels etc for Recruitment of various Ministerial and Isolated categories in Indian Railways notified in Centralized Employment Notification (CEN) 03/2019. ECA selection process is underway, Exam likely to be conducted from mid-December 2020.

RRB JE Exam (CEN 03/2018):

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) invited application on 13487 posts for Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (Information Technology) [JE(IT)], Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA). RRB JE 2nd Stage 2019 Exam Result has been declared. Stage 3 and final selection list are awaited.  

After final merit list RRB to recommend names of suitable candidates to the concerned authorities of the Zonal Railway/Production Unit who in turn issue the offer of appointment letter subject to availability of vacancies and satisfying all eligibility criteria including antecedents and character. Selected candidates will have to undergo training wherever prescribed and during training period only stipend will be paid as applicable. 1.14 Selected candidates have to execute Security and/or Indemnity Bond wherever necessary at the time of joining in Railway/ Post.

RRB Paramedical Categories (CEN 2/2019)-

Paramedical Categories CEN 02/2019 for recruitment on Staff Nurse, Health & Malaria Inspector, Pharmacist, ECG Technician, Lab Assistant, Lab Superintendent, etc in various Zonal Railways and Production Units of Indian Railways for total 1937 posts. RRB Paramedical fee refund was facilitated to those candidates who made the payment through Post Office & Paytm on the websites of RRBs from 22.02.2020 to 28.02.2020. Final selection/ List is being awaited. 

RRB ALP Technician Gr 3 (CEN 1/2018):

Indian Railways has concluded the recruitment process of ALP Technician Gr 3 (CEN 1/2018) for over 64000 posts. A total 55378 candidates have been selected and set to be called for training.
