Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday orders suspension of Odisha board exams of classes 10 & 12. Board has also been directed to promote the students of Class 9 & 11 to their next standards. The decision is taken in view of the current situation that emerged after COVID-19.
"CM Naveen Patnaik orders suspension of all 10th & 12th board exams in the state in view of the COVID-19 situation. All students of Class 9 & 11 in the academic year 2020-21 will be prompted to the 10th and 12th standards respectively. They do not have to take any tests for this", tweeted Odisha CMO.

The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha will take the decision on fresh exam dates for Classes 10 and 12 after the situation becomes more feasible to hold exams. The decision is taken amid rising demands of students to postpone or cancel the board exams all across the country, amid the ongoing situation that erupted after COVID-19 pandemic.
