NTSE Stage 1 Portal Reopens from 11-15 November in Punjab, Exam will be held on December 13

Punjab State Government on Wednesday decided to reopen the portal for registration for NTSE Stage 1 exam 2020. The registration portal is open from 11 to 15 November 2020 for state level NTSE Stage 1 exam. The decision is taken in view of students who faced difficulties due to Covid or other reasons.

Punjab School Education Department has decided to reopen portal for registration for state level National Talent Search Examination (NTSE, Stage-1) from Nov 11 to Nov 15 in view of difficulties faced by students, says Punjab Government. Candidates who wish to register for the NTSE Stage 1 state level exam for Punjab, can register from 11 to 15 November, 2020 at ssapunjab.org and ncert.nic.in.

Registration window for the NTSE Stage 1 exam is reopened for the Punjab state on the http://epunjabschool.gov.in portal, Government of Punjab. The last chance to register for the NTSE exam is provided to the candidates from 11 to 15 November 2020. Earlier, the last date for registration for the Punjab state NTSE exam was decided as November 2, 2020 against the available 183 seats.

All students studying in Class X in any type of recognized school including Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya, and Sainik School etc. will be eligible to appear at the State Level Examination from the State in which the school is located. NTSE exam will be held on December 13, 2020.

NTSE Eligibility Criteria:

At School Level: Student must be appearing for Class 10 examination from a recognized school OR Students who have applied for class 10 through open learning can appear for the NTSE exam. Age of the candidate must be less than 18 years and all standards from class 1 to 10 must be cleared.

At Graduation level: Student must be appearing for class XII from a recognized school. Class 11 examination must have been cleared without backlogs and no backlogs in class 12 examination final results declared by CBSE or state boards. Class 10 examinations must have been cleared with a minimum of 60 percent marks. No age limit is defined.

How to Fill NTSE 2020 Application Form?

Candidates can fill the National Talent Search Examination 2020 Stage 1 Application form offline after downloading or online at the website ssapunjab.org. Candidates can also access their Application form from the office of Liaison Officer. After filling all details in Application Form candidates can submit the same via post to the address of State Liaison Officer. Candidates can also submit the application form by visiting themselves at the address of Liaison officer.

NTSE Stage 1 examination or State level examination may have two parts: Part-I Mental Ability Test (MAT) and PartII Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) for nominating the required number of candidates for the second level test to be conducted by the NCERT. The medium of the test shall be as announced by the State/ UT.
