NRA CET: Know all about Application, CET Eligibility, Score validity & Selection process

Union Cabinet on Wednesday, August 19 approves setting up of 'National Recruitment Agency' to conduct Common Eligibility Test (CET). The CET will be conducted twice a year for Multiple Government Jobs, cabinet say. The decision is taken to provide benefit to job seeking youth of the country and in order to enhance transparency and ease in the recruitment process. 

NRA CET for SSC, IBPS, RRB-

There are almost more than 20 recruitment agencies in central govt. Initially cabinet decide to include three agencies (SSC, IBPS & RRB) under NRA CET exam. “In course of time we will be able to have Common Eligibility Test for all recruitment agencies”, said Secretary to the Government, C Chandramouli. It's one of the most landmark reforms in history of independent India. 

It'll bring in ease of recruitment, selection, job placement & ease of living particularly for certain sections of society which are at a disadvantage on one account or the other, said Union Minister Jitendra Singh after cabinet meeting.

Newly approved National Recruitment Agency will advertise about the NRA CET notification twice a year. Similarly, applications will be invited twice in a year for NRA CET. The details of Application fee/ schedule of application is subject to official notification.

NRA CET Eligibility:

NRA to conduct Common Eligibility Test (CET) twice a year in 12 Indian languages. The NRA CET exam will cover three premiere Recruitment agencies including SSC, RRB & IBPS. In due course all recruitment selection posts will be filled under National Recruitment Agency, formed on the verge of National Testing Agency. For different posts of SSC, IBPS & RRB the minimum eligibility criteria (Qualification/ Age limit) to remain un-changed.

Preparation of NRA CET Merit list:

Merit list of Common Entrance Test (CET) will remain valid for 3 years during which the candidate can apply for jobs in different sectors depending upon his aptitude and preferences: Union Minister Jitendra Singh on National Recruitment Agency to conduct Common Eligibility Test.
