NEET 2020 Fake News: According to reports in a leading media website, a fake circular on NEET 2020 is doing the rounds on the internet platforms and digital messaging services which says, that National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2020, has been further postponed and is now going to be conducted by the authority in the month of August. This circular may have been the result of several students demanding the postponement of NEET exam due to the prevailing coronavirus situation. However, the authority has not issued any such NEET Notification for the postponement of examinations on its official website.
Candidates who are going to appear in the upcoming NEET 2020 must check the official website of NTA only for any notification regarding NEET 2020 and for any other examinations conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The Minister of Human Resource Development (HRD) conducted several webinars to address the concerns of students during which it stated that in the case of “extreme conditions”, the ministry will take necessary and “appropriate steps”.
Several students have taken to social media platforms to post their concerns regarding the COVID-19 crisis and demanding the examinations to be postponed. Their social media posts along with hashtags including #StudentsLivesMatter #postponejeeneet2020, #HealthOverExams and #HealthOverNEETjee have been trending on Twitter.
