KEA postpones DCET, PGCET entrance tests to 13 & 14 October, extends last date for registration

KEA on Thursday, decided to postpone the DCET AND PGCET entrance examination 2020. Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) extending the last date for registration for Diploma Courses under DCET 2020 and MBA, MCA, MTech, M.Arch & M.E courses under PGCET, decided to conduct Entrance exams on 13 & 14 October 2020.

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has postponed the DCET & PGCET entrance test 2020 dates. KEA in view of Covid-19 extends the last date for registration for the DCET & PGCET and revises the entrance exam dates to the 2nd Week of October 2020. KEA will conduct DCET 2020 exam on 14 October for Diploma (2nd Year/ 3rd Semester) and PGCET 2020 on 13-14 October 2020.

Due to the present COVID-19 situation in the State, DCET-2020 entrance exam for admission to 2nd year, 3rd Semester engineering courses under lateral entry scheme scheduled to be held on 09 August 2020 was postponed to 07 Oct 2020. As different Universities and other Department exams were scheduled on the same dates, considering the requests of the students to postpone the DCET 2020 exam dates, with the approval of the Government, the entrance exam will now be held on 14 October 2020", says KEA notice. The revised dates for PGCET are also revised as 13 & 14 October 2020.

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) to conduct on October 13, 2020 PGCET 2020 for M.E/ M.Tech/ M.Arch courses whereas, on 14 Oct 2020 PGCET for MCA & MBA to be conducted in Morning & Afternoon shifts respectively.

The candidates who were not able to apply through online can apply for DCET 2020 afler 7.30 pm from 16.09.2020 to 21-09-2020 upto 5.30 pm and pay the fees on or before 22-09-2020. (During banking hours) Those who have applied online but not paid the fees can also pay the fees. This is the final chance to apply for DCET 2020. Now as per revised date, Karnataka DCET and PGCET will be conducted on revised dates i.e 13 and 14 October 2020.

PGCET to be conducted on 13 & 14 October 2020 for ME, M.Tech, M.Arch and MBA, MCA respectively. For admission MCA into 1st Year / 1st Semester PGCET to be conducted on 14 October 2020 in first shift from 10:30 am to 12.30 pm, whereas, for MCA admission into 1st year/ 1st semester PGCET 2020 to be conducted in 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 4.30 pm carrying a similar 100 marks in total.
