Karnataka State Higher Education Minister today said that KCET 2021 exam has been postponed to August, due to the COVID19 pandemic. Earlier this exam was to be held on July 7 and 8. The decision is taken by the State Government due to the surge in cases of COVID19 in the state and also due to the postponement of other key exams.
On Wednesday, Karnataka Higher Education Minister Dr. Ashwathnarayan CN gave the information about the postponement of KCET exam through his official Twitter handle. He wrote, "The entrance exam has been deferred in view of the current COVID-19 situation, and also due to the postponement of the second PUC or Class 12 final exams."

The state Minister also notified the new schedule for Karnataka CET 2021. "The entrance exam will now be held on August 28 and 29, 2021," he added.

According to KCET August 2021 schedule, the exam will be held in two shifts on both the exam days.
Along with the KCET, Kannada Language Test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga students has also been postponed. The Language Test now will be held on August 30, instead of July 9, 2021.
