Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Vice Chancellor Professor Nageshwar Rao interacted through Facebook live today with students and delivered message on IGNOU June exams, Assignments and Projects. IGNOU VC in his message announced that IGNOU June TEE Exams are postponed and new dates would be intimated 15 days in advance. Vice Chancellor Professor Nageshwar Rao also briefed about grievances related to Assignment submission and last dates to submit IGNOU Assignments for boty June and December 2020 exam sessions. Term End exam form dates and postponement of formerly scheduled dates were among key Highlights of VC's Address.
In Vice Chancellor's address on exams it is announced that IGNOU TEE exams scheduled to start from June 1, are now postponed in July 2020. Assignment submission dates and Term End Exam form dates are extended till May 31 & also light thrown on project submission derails.
In his address IGNOU Vice Chancellor made several announcements and future course of action of University including postponing June TEE exams, extending Assignment submission dates till 31st May and allowing Hard Copies of submission from May 17. Highlighting the HRD Ministry Guidelines for maintaining social distancing and extension of lockdown till May 17, IGNOU Vice Chancellor in his address conveyed that Term end exams, assignments and project submission dates are extended.
Full Message/ Address of IGNOU VC-
Indira Gandhi National Open University is receiving 30-40 calls daily and answers grievances of students related to exams and future course of action. AsAs lockdown is extended till May 17, COHAD Committee under UGC recommendations has suggested to postpone IGNOU June exams to July month.
Students will be intimated 15 days in advance of Exams, said Vice Chancellor Professor Nageshwar Rao. Subsequent dates of Term End Exams will be intimated as scenario improves. Regional Centres are in continuous touch with all students and answering all grievances related to exams, assignments & projects.
On Assignments- Assignment submission last date has been extended till May 31. From May 17 onwards students will also be able to submit in Hard Copies. Soft Copies are being accepted and Regional Centres are preparing individual emails in this regard to remove anxiety of students.

Students were facing two difficulties in submission of IGNOU Assignments. One related to Papers availability and other regarding uploading and sending through emails. IGNOU is working on both the grievances and after the opening of stationary shops, as laid down by MHA in its guidelines, papers problem is resolved, said IGNOU Vice Chancellor.

IGNOU Examination Form-
The last date for submission of Examination form for Term End Exams June 2020, which are postponed till July, is proposed as 31/5/2020. Students can pay the Exam form fee without late fee till May 31 at exam.ignou.ac.in.
On IGNOU e-resources-
IGNOU has several e-resources including E-Gyankosh, e-Gyanvani, SwayamPrabha Channels. IGNOU's android and iOS app is also available on Google and around 5 lakh students are using it, said VC. 90% students have received hard copies of study material & rest part is being facilitated through e-resources.
IGNOU is world’s first University having three Online channels and total 11 e-resources. At SwayamPrabha Channel, Gyandarshan Channel, Gyanvani Radio channel, University is facilitating online educational services as several channels run 24/7 with repetition of classes.
On Project submission/ Field Works
IGNOU Vice Chancellor said that Projects can be submitted in soft copies at Regional Centres' emails as different emails are being generated for different courses. For field work projects, as students are facing difficulties, Schools are suggested to facilitate Internet based research to students amid current situation.
