IGNOU answers on possible Exam Dates, Appeals students to follow guidelines

The Indira Gandhi National Open University, Regional Centre Delhi 1 (RC1 Delhi) answering students’ quarries over possible Exam dates, Hall Ticket appeals to follow guidelines. IGNOU RC1 Delhi recently made a sincere appeal to all learners asking for exam dates. Highlighting the key points addressed by the IGNOU, Regional centre appealed students to follow Government instructions over exam dates. On Saturday IGNOU through its social media handle released a message covering all quarries of students over pending Term End Exams. IGNOU earlier had set-up the Working Committee over addressing students’ quarries in view of Corona Virus and directed the committee to respond to maximum number of quarries. It is highlighted in appeal that University has postponed the Term End Examinations (TEE June Session) till further notice.

Dr. Ashok Sharma, RD, RC, Delhi-1 IGNOU University appeals students to follow University official guidelines over their repeated quarries about the expected dates of exams. In his message Regional Centre urges learners to follow the instructions and keep visiting the official website of University for updates.

As many of you are sending us repeated queries about the expected dates of exams. On this, please read and note that following Government instructions to prevent the spread of Corona virus, the educational institutions are closed at present. What does it mean? It simply means that it is difficult to conduct the exams until educational institutions (we are mainly concerned with Colleges and our study centres) are opened again throughout India. And when, the educational institutions will be opened again in India, you will come to know through news and media. So, no need to worry.

After resuming the normal functioning of educational institutions in India, whenever University will finalize the dates and date-sheet of exams, it will be duly notified by Student Evaluation Division (SED), IGNOU and notification will be uploaded on www.ignou.ac.in. So, no need to worry.

On TEE Possible Exam Dates- Answering on possible dates for TEE June 2020 exams, IGNOU says "you will be given at least fifteen days time for appearing in exams". If anyone is thinking that conditions will be normal in India from 30.06.2020 and we will start exams from 01.07.2020, pl overcome this irrational thinking. Pl note that whenever the circumstances will be conducive for the conduct of exams, University will also take some time (10-15 days) for necessary arrangements and preparations. You all will also be given fifteen days time for your final preparations. So, no need to worry.

Generation of IGNOU Hall tickets for appearing in exams is an unavoidable integral part of the examination process. These Hall tickets contain your Course-wise date-sheet. It takes time to generate Hall tickets and upload them on University website. You, therefore, will not get a sudden surprise that "tomorrow morning" is your exam. So, no need to worry.

IGNOU is world famous for its exam system and pattern. Lots of ODL Institutions have adapted/adopted our exam system. About 6-8 lakh learners smoothly appear in their courses' exams in each exam session throughout India and abroad. We have two fixed exam MONTHS (June and December) since the inception of the University. Declaring exam results in 45 days is our mandate. We are known worldwide for our such achievements. But this pandemic has caused this disturbance this time throughout world which is beyond anyone's control. Despite, all these odd and difficult circumstances, we are committed for our cause and continously serving you. So, no need to worry.

Instead of being anxious, pl evaluate the circumstances in broader perspective, think globally and act rationally. Utilize this extra time for your own growth and further development. Enhance your capabilities, acquire more knowledge and sharpen your skills. Stop complaining. Anxiety will harm you. Positivity will help you grow, appealed Regional Centre.
