IGNOU has come up with another innovative way of teaching and learning and that is through Podcasts. Through this medium, new ideas and developments in different fields of work can be shared. The first podcast will be a series with a motto ‘Freedom to Learn’. On Tuesday IGNOU launched its podcast series in presence of Vice Chancellor Prof. Nageshwar Rao.
Under this, IGNOU will be podcasting interaction with experts on current topics in addition to extra-ordinary education. IGNOU students will be able to take benefit of the podcast series and live streaming just sitting their homes.
On Tuesday IGNOU Podcast series was inaugurated by IGNOU Vice Chancellor Prof. Nageswara Rao. During the inauguration, he said that this is another medium through which we will connect with our listeners. University believing in the power of conversation and to share the knowledge base of the experts from various walks of life, IGNOU chosen Podcast as the medium. Podcast is boundary less and zero cost mode of digital learning. You can access it easily, store it and hear it as per your convenience. The studies show that retention is higher when you hear something.
In launched Podcast series experts from respective fields will discuss and share live podcasts on current issues. It is an effort made to give information other than the subject which will not only develop the students' understanding on time-related issues but also develop a logical ability.
