The Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) is taking the decision on CBSE pending board examinations today. Based on reports the HRD Ministry is going to take important decision on holding of the pending CBSE board exams or not, the decision will be decided during meeting scheduled on Monday. Ahead of Supreme Court’s hearing over CBSE board examinations for Class 10th and 12th, in which the parents demanded Board to not conduct the rest of examinations in view of the current situation due to Covid19. HRD Ministry has several options on table, but the decision will be taken on Monday after meeting with MHA, a board official said.
The big decision on CBSE Board 10th and 12th Class remaining examinations is going to be decided today. Weather CBSE to conduct rest of examinations from July 1 (as scheduled), or postpone further to August-September or board to decide Uniform Grading System (to pass on internal/ average of last term’s performance basis), confusion over all these is expected to end today.
The Ministry is working on all the options that are possible taking students safety and parents’ grievances in consideration, an official said on Saturday. MHRD during meeting with Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday would decide fate of CBSE Board remaining exams 2020.
The decision is expected to come on Monday a just ahead of crucial Supreme Court Hearing on the matter. The doubts over the CBSE examinations proposed to start from July 1 and NTA JEE Main and NEET UG (scheduled in July), are also expected to resolve. In pending examination case, the Supreme Court has sought response from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) till June 23. Meanwhile, discussions have also been held with the Ministry of Health and Home Affairs, in which it is said to try other options from HRD Ministry by Tuesday. However, what are the options left to the Ministry of Human Resource Development in over CBSE pending Board examinations. According to Board officials, several options are on the table.
Option 1)- CBSE may offer students a choice on whether to take the pending Class 10th / 12th examinations or not
Option 2)- CBSE may decide Uniform Grading System. (Prescribed below)
Option 3)- Board may postpone further the remaining examinations to August-September.
However according to a source HRD Ministry may announce scrapping of CBSE exam next week, postpone JEE, NEET further. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ had met HM Amit Shah to discuss these issues. Govt is also thinking about postponement of the other exams for Engineering and Medical Colleges. HRD Ministry is going to take decision on Uniform Grading System or further postpone of CBSE Class 10th & 12th examinations today.

Uniform Grading System-
As per reports Ministry is also considering another option called “Uniform Grading System”. In case CBSE adopts uniform grading system, the system will be implemented across the country for all CBSE pending board exams. Under this system the grading system will consider marks scored by a student in internal assessment to announce the final year results and promote students to next grade or prepare them for admission to higher education institutions.
