Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date for change in exam city for the 31st January 2021 scheduled eligibility test. On Tuesday board releases an important notice re-viewing the Covid-19 safety guidelines. According to the notice, CBSE board has decided to extend the last date for correction in the exam city to 26 November 2020. Earlier, the last date for change in exam city was decided as 16 November.
"A large number of requests have been received from the candidates for change of option for their examination city as they have shifted their place due to Covid-19. It is hereby informed that due to some administrative reasons the last date for corrections in their option of city form from which they want to appear in the CTET examination is further extended", notice reads.
As per the revised schedule, candidates now can apply online for change of exam city for the CTET 2020 exam, to be held on 31/01/2021. The window has been opened from 17 November 2020 and would last on November 26, 2020 (11.59 pm). Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the notice on the official website i.e ctet.nic.in. The notice states that candidates can change the examination city using Application Number, Password, and Security pin at CBSE CTET portal.
"In view of Covid-19 safety and rise in demand from the candidates for the change in Examination city, the last date for City change has been extended to 26th November. The CTET examination will be held in 135 cities across the country", notice adds. Earlier due to Covid-19 pandemic, CBSE decided to postpone the July 5, 2020 scheduled CTET examination. The examination was scheduled to be held in 112 cities, which later increased to 135 due to the Covid19 pandemic. Revising the CTET 2020 schedule, central board has decided to conduct the CTET exam on January 31, 2021. On the demand of candidates, Board also opened the Application window for exam city correction/ change which closed on 16 November.
