CTET Exam Date 2020 Latest Update: Test likely in 2nd week of September, Sources

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2020 exam which has been postponed from July 5, seems likely to be held in 2nd week of September 2020. According to sources CBSE board may conduct CTET exam in second week of September, however, the final decision is yet to be taken from board.

The Central Teachers’ Eligibility Test (CTET) which was to be conducted on 5 July, postponed on June 25, 2020 due to unfavourable situation caused due to Coronavirus. Sources have hinted that the Central eligibility examination for Teachers may be held in the month of September following the social-distancing norms. The official confirmation on CTET new exam date is expected to be announced soon. Earlier CBSE Board due to Coronavirus pandemic postponed the CTET examination. The Minister of Human Resource Development, Dr Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal through his twitter handle intimated on postponement of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). Citing the un-conducive situation to hold examination HRD Minister tweeted to postpone the July 5, 2020 scheduled CTET Examination & notice released at cbse.nic.in official website.

CTET examination consisting of two papers Paper 1 for Class 1-V & Paper 2 for Class VI-VIII is being conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates to become Teachers. The CBSE board has defined the CTET exam structure, which consists Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives. The duration of Paper 1 and Paper 2 is 150 minutes (2.30 hours) and CTET question consists both Hindi and English languages.

The Central Board of Secondary Education is yet to made official announcement on CTET new exam dates. Only anticipation are made on CTET expected dates from sources. However, it is expected that CBSE Board or HRD Ministry are likely to stance on new exam date shortly. In its recent notice, CBSE board states that exam will only be conducted if situation turns more conducive for Central level Teacher Eligibility Test.

CTET Admit Card:

The candidates may download Admit Card from CTET official website ctet.nic.in and appear for the examination at the given Centre.
