Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the online registration for CTET December 2021 on portal ctet.nic.in. The eligible and interested candidates can register online for CTET from September 20 to October 20, 2021, up to 3:30 pm. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be conducted from December 16, 2021, to January 13, 2022. There will be two papers of CTET- Paper I for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V and Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
To be eligible for CBSE CTET paper 1, the candidate should have passed senior secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks. Also, he/she should have passed or must be appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). Whereas, for Paper 2, a graduate degree in the relevant discipline is compulsory. Also, the candidate should have passed or must be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Candidates applying for Paper 1 or 2 General/ OBC (NCL) category candidates applying for CTET Paper 1 or 2 have to make a payment of Rs. 1000. Whereas, candidates applying for both papers have to pay Rs 1200 as a fee. For SC/ST/PWD category candidates the fee would be half. The payment can either be made through Chalan or Online-mode (By debit card/credit card / net banking), etc.

STEP 1: Log on to CTET official website https://ctet.nic.in
STEP 2: Go to the link “Apply Online” and open the same
STEP 3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No./Application No
STEP 4: Upload Scanned Images of latest Photograph and Signature
STEP 5: Pay Examination Fee by e-challan or debit/credit card and net banking
STEP 6: Print Confirmation page for record and future reference.
The candidate should mention their own mobile number and E-Mail ID while submitting their online application as the CTET information will be sent to the candidates on their registered mobile number and E-Mail ID.
Paper I (for Classes I to V) Primary Stage:
i) Child Development and Pedagogy (compulsory) 30 MCQs- 30 Marks
ii) Language I (compulsory) 30 MCQs- 30 Marks
iii) Language II (compulsory) 30 MCQs- 30 Marks
iv) Mathematics 30 MCQs- 30 Marks
v) Environmental Studies 30 MCQs 30 Marks Total 150 MCQs- 150 Marks.

Paper-II (for Classes VI to VIII) Elementary Stage:
(i) Child Development & Pedagogy(compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
ii) Language I (compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
iii) Language II (compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
iv) Mathematics and Science (for Mathematics and Science teacher) OR
v) Social Studies/Social Science 60 MCQs- 60 Marks
Candidates are required to give 4 options in order of their preference. The exact date of examination, however, will be informed through the admit card of the candidate. The candidates have to download CTET December 2021 admit card from the official website and appear for the examination at the given center, reads CTET December 2021 Information Brochure.
According to the information bulletin, this year, the CTET 2021 will be held in online mode to motivate futuristic teachers to become computer literate. The test would be held compliant with strict COVID-19 protocols to ensure not only safety but would facilitate faster processing and declaration of results.
Qualifying CTET exam would make a candidate eligible to apply for schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi. The Validity Period of the CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be for a lifetime for all categories.
