The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) shall take the final decision in the first week of May regarding the postponement of the Common Law Aptitude Test (CLAT) 2021 due to the surge in Covid-19 cases all across the country. The decision will describe the future course of action on whether the CLAT exam to be postponed or not.
The CLAT 2021 exam, which is scheduled to be conducted on June 13 this year, is expected to be postponed if the Covid-19 situation would not come more feasible till May.
On Monday an announcement was made by Consortium of National Law Universities, CNLU to take a decision on CLAT 2021 exam. In its statement Consortium said that the decision on whether exam be postponed or not will be taken in first week of May.
"All applicants of CLAT-2021 are hereby informed that Consortium of National Law Universities is monitoring the COVID- 19 Pandemic situation and will take the stock of the situation in the first week of May 2021 regarding the date of test.
Notification will be issued on the website of Consortium subsequently. The applicants are advised not to panic at this stage as the Consortium shall be taking appropriate steps as time and situation demand and shall keep the applicants updated accordingly", official statement reads.
According to the experts, there are possibilities of exam be postponed as several other agencies and Goernments have either cancelled or postponed the April-May 2021 scheduled competitive of board exams.
Demanding the postponement of the 13th June scheduled CLAT exam hundreds of students have started a campaign on social media. On other side thousands of CLAT applicants are uncertain about the conduction of the CLAT 2021 entrance exam, and many are speculating the postponement of the examination due to the sudden surge in COVID-19 cases across the country.
Based on recent statement, the official intimation regarding the revision (if any) to the official exam date of the CLAT 2021 examination will be uploaded on the official website of the Consortium that is consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Apart from the CLAT 2021, other law entrance exams are also on the verge to get postponed.
'Students have been advised to keep a regular check on the official website of CNLU for updates regarding the CLAT 2021 exam. The news regarding the CLAT 2021 exam get postponed or not will be released by the authorities in the first week of May,' statement of CNLU reads.
