Union HRD Minister has said that the remaining CBSE board exams of classes 10th and 12th will take place after the nationwide lockdown ends. In the wake of ongoing coronavirus pandemic and resulting lockdown and social distancing norms, CBSE board exams along with many entrance examinations to different courses for engineering, management and medical were postponed. However the exam dates for CBSE Board Class 10th & 12th remaining papers have not yet declared. 'The notice on new CBSE Exam dates for Class 10 & Class 12 will be intimated through CBSE website cbse.nic.in after lockdown, said HRD Minister on Monday.
HRD Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal on Monday said that CBSE to conduct remaining Board examinations after lockdown, including of 29 major subjects which CBSE has selected. New exam dates of CBSE Board Exams (Remaining) will be scheduled after 3 May when lockdown will end. Minister also urged the teachers to take online classes more frequently and make sure that studies are not getting hampered and every student is having access to it. 'Amid lockdown, 16 crores students have availed the online education', Human Resource & Development Minister said.
HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal also added that along with CBSE Board Exams, Joint Entrance Tests and National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Management courses will take place once the lockdown ends and the situation gets better. He urged the students not to panic instead utilise the given time to prepare for future exams. All the study material required to prepare for the exams is uploaded on the internet so that everyone can get access to it.
Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal stated that the students appearing for CBSE board exams will be informed 10 days prior to the conduct of the remaining examinations. Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination (Tier I) 2019, Junior Engineers (Paper I) Examination 2019, Stenographer Grade C and D Examination 2019, and Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination 2018 skill testing will be conducted once the lockdown ends on May 3, 2020.
The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions has stated that it will continuously review the examination dates for the conduct of CBSE, UPSC & NTA remaining exams taking the present situation into consideration as many students are required to travel to give their examinations.
