In the view of Citizenship Amendment Act CAA protests starting from Jamia University, South Delhi engulfing several other University students to protest. On Sunday Jamia Milia University stuednts’ protest turned violent Nagar in South Delhi. Near Jamia University on students clashed with Delhi Police & several casualities/ injuries reported. By Protesters three Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses were set ablaze by Protesters in South Delhi. Several other vehicles also vandalized by Protesters from Jamia Nagar as Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protest.
Based on reports on Sunday in Jamia University area several protesters specifically students of Jamia Milia Islamia University clashed with Delhi Police & pelted stones near New Friends Colony in South Delhi. Protesters’ clash with police left dozens of people and cops injured.
Later Delhi Police Fire Tender rushed to the spot and charged baton and fired tear gas to disperse the violent protesters.
In Jamia Milia Islamia University winter vacations declared amid the massive protest against Citizenship Amendmenr Act.
Following CAA protests on Sunday Delhi Metro also affected & on around 15 Metro stations entry & exit gates closed.
As Per Govt Notice all government and private schools of Okhla, Jamia, New Friends Colony, Madanpur Khadar region in South East District in Delhi will be closed tomorrow

In View of CAA Protest Metro Gates Closed-
Delhi Metro closed its Entry and exit gates of over 15 Delhi Metro stations including- Delhi Gate, Pragati Maidan, ITO, IIT, GTB Nagar, Shivaji Stadium, Vasant Vihar, Munirka, RK Puram, Sukhdev Vihar, Jamia Millia Islamia, Okhla Vihar and Jasola Vihar stations.
What Delhi Police Says-
Senior Delhi police officer Chinmaya Biswal said that the police entered the university only after the violent mob went inside and started throwing stones. "We were checking from where these violent activities were taking place. NDTVSource.
What Jamia Students Says over CAA Protest-
Jamia students distanced themselves from the violence and some officers of the Delhi police privately admitted that local thugs were responsible for it. In a statement, the students said, "We have time and again maintained our protests are peaceful and non-violent." The violence "by certain elements" was an attempt to vilify and discredit genuine protests
