On Thursday Delhi Police arrested a dozen people indulged in molestation case in Gargi College of Delhi University. Several students of Delhi University are also arrested by Police. Earlier to the arrests Girl students of Gargi College, Delhi University demanded for serious action against molesters. On Monday students were on strike and demanding serious action in Molestation case. Girl Students inside Gargi College leading strike for a probe inside case as Police has also registered FIR on Monday in Gargi College Molestation case. Delhi University College students faced dark Fest when miscreants molested College Girls during annual fest held on February 6. As per proceedings on Monday NCW team visited the Gargi College and looked into the molestation case. Delhi Police registered FIR against unnamed molesters who entered in Gargi College on 6th February.
As per reports Gargi College girl students were molested during Fest named ‘Reverie’ and even chased to Metro stations during annual Fest by unidentified molesters. The College Administration also seems have taken the matter seriously now, as case has become newspapers highlight. Just two days before Delhi Elections this molestation case inside Delhi University College occurred and again raised questions over women safety in Delhi.
On Thursday Delhi Police arrested several people over allegation charges in DU Gargi College. Gargi College molestation Case firstly came to known through social media and make Gargi College incident a national issue over safety of young students. Indecency of female students came on social media when a girl shared evidence of molestation inside Fest on 6 Feb at Gargi College. Students were on strike from Monday over Molestation case in Delhi University Gargi College.
The National Commission of Women is also taking action in the Gargi College Students’ molestation case. NCW team has visited the Gargi college on 10th February & took cognizance of case. In this regards college administration will hold a meeting on Monday and also going to call the Girl student who have accused of molestation. At the same time students have said that they will file an FIR in this case on Monday. Delhi Police has also registered FIR in the Molestation case.

Students demand serious action Administration should take-
A girl student from their college released a poster on social media which states that college should take some serious action in this matter for sure. Regarding this case students are planed that they are going to protest outside the college. A student said that on Monday they hold a meeting in the college and after that FIR will be done because no one stood by their side. Dr. Promila Kumar, principal of Gargi college is also silent in the female student molestation matter. On other other hand student told that this happened because of the administration mess, college should take action. The crowd broke gate and entered in college, misbehave and molest with girl student during the fest. Limited passes were provided to the girl students & then this incident took place, this is shameful said a professor.
One of student of Gargi College shared the incident on 6 Feb in night on her Instagram and later by Sunday evening that started trending on social media. Many of them are intoxicated, the girl added. This is not the first case of molestation in the Delhi University college there have been several cases of molestation in past. The intoxicated crowd misbehaved with students and some follow them till metro station. It is reported that there were Zammers inside Gargi College when Fest was going on and students couldn't use internet.
Now Gargi College students are demanding fair action in molestation case and they are leading this Strike, so that it will never happened again with female students, said a Girl student of College.
On Thursday Delhi Police made several arrests including Students who entered DU College and suspected to be molesters on College Fest held on 6 February.
