Delhi Government on Monday announced a 'Weekend Curfew' to effect from Monday, 19th April (10:00 PM) to next Monday, 26th April 2021 up to 5:00 AM. According to the orders by the Delhi Government, the restrictions of Weekend-Curfew are to contain the spread of COVID-19 across the national capital. As per the orders all Malls, gyms, spas, dine-in restaurants, spas, and auditoriums will remain closed. Essential services and weddings will not be affected in the Delhi government-imposed weekend curfew.
People can attend marriage ceremonies during the weekend curfew, however, they will require an e-pass to travel for the wedding. However, there are conditions in the order for the people attending the Marriage or funerals. Only fifty persons will be allowed at weddings and twenty people at funerals.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in his press statement enforced a week-long curfew. In his statement Mr. Kejriwal said "Rishte itne aasani se nahi bante". According to the DDMA orders regarding the weekend curfew, only 50 guests will be allowed to attend the marriage function.
To attend a marriage function or funeral a person should hold a valid e-Pass that can be generated from the website of DDMA or delhi.gov.in. How to apply for Delhi Curfew e-Pass, the process is as follows.
To Apply for an e-Pass applicants are need to visit the official website or the link given below for online e-pass online to travel during the weekend curfew. As per the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) order, If a person already holds a Night/Weekend curfew ePass, he/she DO NOT have to re-apply. His/her e-Pass shall automatically be considered valid till April 26th, 2021.
