One Assistant Sub Inspector ASI with Delhi Traffic Police has tested Covid19 positive in Delhi. Report came on Wednesday, found that Delhi Traffic Police ASI who was tested on April 7, has been found positive in Covid19 and taking measures now the entire colony in which ASI lived has put under strict lockdown, source said. The positive tested Assistant Sub Inspector of Delhi Traffic Police is sent to All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and now Delhi Police is trying to establish his contacts the report added.

An Assistant Sub Inspector level Officer of Delhi Traffic Police is reported Covid19 positive in his test report. Confirmation from ANI stated that the colony in which the ASI lived has been put under strict lockdown as Contact Tracing is also being conducted by Police. Earlier on Tuesday there were reports that health of Assistant Sub Inspector started destabilizing and followed to that test was taken. As report came today, it is found that ASI of Delhi Traffic Police is Coronavirus positive.

On Tuesday the number of COVID19 positive cases surged 25 and total cases reached to 550 with 9 deaths. Across the country the number of COVID19 positive cases yesterday crossed 5000 mark with rapid increase in last week.
